Restaurant Son Quint – Estiven Arráez
Estiven Arráez, was born on May 2, 1981, on the island of Ibiza. A young, charismatic chef, perfectionist and passionate about the amazing world of cooking, the son of chefs, he began his career with his father, Antonio Arráez, at only 13 years. At 14 he began working in the restaurant Amalur, named best restaurant on the island for 4 consecutive years at the hands of Gerardo Doval, and from there he went on to work at various hotels on the island, such as hotel Torre del Mar.
Keen to get to know other kitchens, other cultures, he went to England, and the Dominican Republic, and gained experience through five themed restaurants, with great detail in the decoration of buffet, chocolate figures and fruit. Returning from the Dominican Republic, he then worked as second chef at Son Termens for six years, with the help of the charismatic Vincent Fortea. During those years he won the championship game of Montuiri kitchen, Speaker at the Gastronomic Paiporta, Valencia for 4 years. He went on to run the kitchen of the Restaurant Son Quint, where thanks to Manuel Canas, director of the restaurant, he manages to capture on plates, these ideas, such knowledge, and those dreams, that has matured over the years and of course, still formed in which he claims is the kitchen of the future, vacuum cooking. He is defined as a humble craftsman.
